A warehouse and shipping system, with EDI built in
Receive orders, manage inventory, pick and pack, print compliant labels, ship by parcel, LTL or truckload, and invoice, all in one system. BOLD Fulfillment is a WMS Lite you run in your own warehouse, with your own carrier accounts, and the EDI VAN connection to your retailers is included. You skip the separate WMS build and the separate EDI project.
National brands ship to major retailers through BOLD Fulfillment every day. Compliant with 100+ retailers out of the box.
Getting started begins with a short onboarding call. You are provisioned in one day and typically testing in three.
How an order moves through BOLD Fulfillment
From the retailer's purchase order to the shipped ASN, with every EDI document created and sent for you. If you run an ERP, it stays your system of record.
The order arrives
Your retailer's purchase order (850) comes in through BOLD VAN and lands in BOLD Fulfillment automatically. If you use an ERP, cloud or on-premise, the order goes to your ERP first, and approved orders pull into Fulfillment.
Pick, pack and label
Acknowledge the order (the 855 order response and the 997 acknowledgment are sent for you), generate pick and pack lists, and print compliant labels for that retailer.
Ship, invoice and update
Ship by parcel, LTL or truckload. The ASN (856) and invoice (810) go to your retailer automatically, and shipment data writes back to your ERP to update orders, create backorders and handle fill-or-kill.
Proven across industries and retailers
A sample of who ships through BOLD Fulfillment: consumer brands like Endust and Razor, plus suppliers across automotive OEM, apparel and clothing retail, grocery, hair care and distribution. They ship to 100+ EDI retailers, including Home Depot, Target and Walmart, each with its own labels, custom pack lists and routing handled. Some customers run multiple high-volume Zebra printers producing labels nearly nonstop.
What BOLD Fulfillment handles
Order management, warehouse, shipping and retailer compliance, already connected. If you already run a full ERP or WMS and just want EDI mapped into it, that is BOLD Integration.
Order management
Purchase orders (EDI 850) arrive automatically. Acknowledge them (the 855 order response and the 997 acknowledgment are sent for you), approve them and pull approved orders into fulfillment. Orders can also come from your own website or Shopify store, so retail and direct-to-consumer run through the same workflow. Manage warehouses on opposite sides of the country from one system.
Warehouse (WMS Lite built in)
Manage inventory, generate pick lists and customized pack lists, and run the floor. Designed side by side with warehouse staff so it is easy to adopt, and it prints to the printers tied to whoever is signed in, including label printers.
Shipping
Ship parcel, LTL or full truckload; capture and manage tracking numbers; and integrate with trucking companies for shipment updates. Generate the BOL, master BOL and ASN (856) from the same order.
Labels and compliance
Print retailer-compliant UCC-128 and GS1-128 labels, SSCC pallet labels, UPS and FedEx parcel labels, plus the customized pack lists each retailer requires, for 100+ retailers out of the box. You can also print your own labels or upload them.
Ship windows and MABD
Plan shipments against each retailer's ship window and Must Arrive By Date, so orders go out on time and you cut the risk of late-shipment chargebacks.
The documents, labels and retailers above are a sample. BOLD Fulfillment supports 100+ EDI retailers across retail, grocery, automotive OEM, apparel, hair care and distribution.

Just landed your first big retailer? BOLD Fulfillment gets you ready in days.
It's a WMS Lite with EDI built in, so you get one system instead of two projects. Your team picks, packs and prints labels without becoming EDI experts.
Labels, pack lists and ship notices are built to each retailer's rules, for more than 100 retailers out of the box.
Add your next retailer without starting over, run it in the cloud or on-premise, and connect or change your ERP without redoing your retailer connections.
Brands like Endust and Razor run their fulfillment on it.
Onboarding starts with a short call, and you're typically testing in about three days. Let's talk.
Right now, the mapping is on us
Move your retail trading partners to BOLD Fulfillment during the 2026 Free Mapping Event, and the mapping is on us.
Free mapping covers initial maps, ERP-integration maps and ongoing maintenance for the trading partners you set up during the 2026 Free Mapping Event, which runs through Dec. 31, 2026. New maps added later are billed at standard rates. See event terms.
Cloud or on-premise, your choice
Deployment flexibility that cloud-only platforms cannot match. Either way, BOLD Fulfillment can work with your ERP.
Cloud
Log in and run your fulfillment from any browser. Nothing to install, nothing to maintain. Ideal for suppliers who want to be up and running fast.
On-premise
Run BOLD Fulfillment inside the systems you already operate, with EDI handled automatically in the background.
Change ERPs without remapping a single trading partner or customer
Moving to a new ERP, WMS or other system? We connect BOLD Fulfillment to your new system, and your retailer connections, labels and fulfillment workflow stay exactly as they are. Your team keeps shipping the way it does today.
A modern alternative to legacy fulfillment portals
If you have evaluated other supplier portals for order management, BOLD Fulfillment competes directly, with transparent pricing (see pricing), US-based EDI experts and the backing of a value-added network that has run EDI for 25+ years.
Still splitting partners across multiple VANs?
You don't have to. Bring every trading partner onto BOLD VAN: one connection, one bill, one team. And right now, the mapping can be free for you.

Frequently asked questions
What is an EDI fulfillment portal?
It is a web application where your retail EDI orders arrive and you acknowledge, pick, pack, label, ship and invoice them, while the portal generates and transmits the underlying EDI documents (855, 856/ASN, 810) in compliant format for you. BOLD Fulfillment is that portal, backed by a value-added network.
Do I need an EDI team or a separate WMS?
No. BOLD Fulfillment is a warehouse and shipping system with the EDI built in, so you do not need a separate WMS or an in-house EDI team. It manages inventory, pick and pack, labeling and shipping across warehouses on opposite sides of the country, all in one system. New to EDI? Start with our plain-English guide.
Is BOLD Fulfillment a WMS?
It is a WMS Lite with EDI built in: warehouse management and shipping for suppliers who ship to retailers, covering inventory, pick, pack, labeling and shipping, without the cost or complexity of an enterprise WMS. If you need deep enterprise warehouse features like slotting or labor management, this is not that. If you need a right-sized warehouse and shipping system that already handles retailer EDI, this is it, cloud or on-premise.
Which documents, labels and carriers does it support?
Orders and acknowledgments (850, 855, 997), advance ship notices (856/ASN), invoices (810) and inventory (846); UCC-128 / GS1-128, SSCC pallet, and UPS and FedEx parcel labels; pick lists, customized pack lists, bills of lading and master BOLs; ship windows and MABD; and shipping by parcel, LTL or full truckload with tracking numbers and carrier integration.
Can orders come from my website or Shopify, not just EDI?
Yes. Orders can flow into BOLD Fulfillment from your own website or your Shopify store as well as from retailer EDI, so your retail and direct-to-consumer orders run through the same pick, pack, label and ship workflow.
How do I get started, and how long does setup take?
Getting started begins with a short onboarding call. After that, you are provisioned in one day and typically testing in three.
Can I run it on-premise instead of in the cloud?
Yes. BOLD Fulfillment runs in the cloud or on-premise, and either version can work with your ERP: pulling in approved orders, driving shipping, printing labels and paperwork, and writing shipment data back to the ERP, with EDI handled automatically in the background.
Does it integrate with my ERP or other system?
Yes. BOLD Fulfillment integrates with your ERP, WMS or other system as a standard option: approved orders come in, and shipment details go back to update your orders. The exact scope is set during your onboarding call, since it depends on your system.
What happens if I change my ERP or other system later?
Nothing changes for your retailers. We connect BOLD Fulfillment to your new ERP, WMS or other system, and your trading-partner connections and fulfillment workflow stay exactly as they are.
How is this different from BOLD Integration?
BOLD Integration maps EDI into and out of the systems you already run, so your team works in your ERP or WMS. BOLD Fulfillment gives you the portal to run the whole order-to-ship workflow yourself, with no EDI system of your own required. If you want both a portal and integration into your ERP, they can work together.
Was this product called something else before?
Yes. BOLD Fulfillment was previously the BOLD Distribution Enablement System. The capabilities are the same; the name is clearer.
