EDI mapped into and out of your ERP, WMS or business system

BOLD VAN builds and maintains the maps between EDI and your ERP, WMS or other business system, so purchase orders, ASNs and invoices move automatically instead of by manual re-entry. When a trading partner changes a spec, we update the map. It all runs in the cloud, so there's no translator software or servers to maintain.

Delivered as BOLD Complete, part of a network moving millions of interchanges every month.

Everything EDI mapping and integration should include

Best for companies that want cloud EDI integrated with the internal systems they already run, without building an EDI team. BOLD Transmission and Connectivity gets your documents moving; BOLD Complete takes the mapping and integration off your plate entirely, and keeps it working.

Maintained, not nickel-and-dimed

When a trading partner changes a spec, we update the map, and minor changes are typically handled at no cost. No waiting weeks for a ticket. We would rather be your partner for the long haul than bill you for every update.

Typically ready to test in two days

Your maps are typically ready to test in about two days, with US-based EDI experts doing the build.

Full document mapping

We map your EDI documents into and out of the system you run (ERP, WMS, TMS, e-commerce platform, CRM, accounting software like QuickBooks and more), so your POs, ASNs, invoices and the rest of your trading-partner set flow without re-keying.

Cloud EDI, with nothing to install

No translator license, no servers, no upgrades and no in-house EDI developer to maintain them. Your EDI runs in the cloud, and the mapping work sits with us, as a managed service. In total, TIGI Linea saved over $73,000 a year with BOLD VAN, more than $1.46 million over 20+ years.

2026 Free Mapping Event

Right now, we map your trading partners for free

Move your trading partners to BOLD VAN, new connections or partners you consolidate from another VAN, and the mapping is on us. After that, you pay one predictable per-trading-partner price, with no per-document fees. You keep your existing IDs, and your partners are not disrupted.

Free mapping covers initial maps and ongoing maintenance for the trading partners you migrate to BOLD VAN during the 2026 Free Mapping Event, which runs through Dec. 31, 2026. New maps added later are billed at standard rates. See event terms.

Planning an ERP change? Don't remap a single trading partner or customer

Moving to a new ERP, WMS or other system? Ask about our ERP migration plan. Tell us up front, and we set up your maps so a future system change won't touch them. When you move, we connect your new system, and your partner and customer maps stay exactly as they are, so everyone keeps trading with you the way they do today.

Change systems, not partners

With the ERP migration plan, your Walmart, Target and other trading-partner connections stay as they are when your ERP changes.

We connect the new system

Our US-based EDI experts build and test the connection to your new system. You run your ERP project; we take care of the EDI.

One less reason to delay

EDI is often the most dreaded line item in an ERP migration. With your partners and customers untouched, it stops being the blocker.

"We needed EDI experts to be our EDI experts."

"Reliability is only a portion of what Endust needed in an EDI VAN. We needed to know we can count on our EDI partner to give us relevant and resolving answers to our questions. We needed EDI experts to be our EDI experts. BOLD VAN exceeds our expectations."

Sarah Trumbull, CFO at Endust

Still retyping orders from your trading partners, or ready to move your EDI to the cloud? BOLD Complete takes it off your plate.

Your partners' orders land in the system you already run, and your ship notices and invoices go back out, with no retyping.

Adding a trading partner takes one email, and maps are typically ready to test in about two days. When a partner changes its requirements, we update your maps.

Planning an ERP change? Ask about our ERP migration plan, and you won't remap a single trading partner or customer.

One predictable price per trading partner, with mapping included and no per-document fees.

BOLD Complete. EDI in the system you already run, and kept current. Let's talk.

How it works

1

Send us the partner

Tell us your trading partner and share their contact. A quick email ("got another one") is all it takes to start.

2

We build and test

We set up the connection, organize testing with you and your trading partner, build the maps and iterate until everything is right. Maps are typically ready to test in two days.

3

Go live and stay live

Once you go live, your documents flow into your system automatically, and we maintain the maps as your partners change their specs.

Still splitting partners across multiple VANs?

You don't have to. Bring every trading partner onto BOLD VAN: one connection, one bill, one team, with mapping handled for you. And right now, the mapping can be free for you.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of maps do you create?

Just about anything to anything. Our mapping tools and in-house developers let us connect virtually any format or system to any other. A source or destination can be X12 EDI, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, CSV, tab-delimited files, positional or delimited flat files, an Infor BOD, or a platform's API, including Amazon, Shopify, ShipHero and many more. If your trading partner speaks it and your system needs it, we map between the two, whatever the direction.

Can you map to my ERP, WMS or other system?

Yes. We map EDI into and out of the systems you already run, including Infor CloudSuite, SAP (ECC and S/4HANA), Oracle EBS, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, IFS Cloud and Infor Visual, plus WMS, TMS, e-commerce, CRM and accounting platforms like ShipHero, Oracle TMS, Shopify, Amazon, Salesforce and QuickBooks, and others. We connect through whatever method the system uses: API, flat file, JSON, XML or a delimited file.

What happens when a trading partner changes their spec?

We update the affected map. Trading partners change requirements regularly, and when they do, we handle the change for you. Minor changes are typically handled at no cost.

How long does a new map take?

Your maps are typically ready to test in about two days, with US-based EDI experts doing the build. Adding a partner is easy: most customers just email us "got another one" with the partner's contact, and we handle the setup, testing and go-live.

Do I need to know EDI or hire an EDI developer?

No. BOLD Complete is a managed service. There is no translator license and no in-house EDI developer to hire or maintain. The mapping and its upkeep sit with us, so your team works with orders and shipments, not raw EDI. New to EDI altogether? What is EDI? explains the basics in plain English.

Can you move our EDI from an on-premise system to the cloud?

Yes. If you run Gentran or another on-premise translator today, we move your EDI and trading partners to BOLD VAN in the cloud and take over the mapping, so there are no servers, licenses or upgrades to maintain. Moves from on-premise systems are scoped with you up front.

What is the difference between transmission and mapping?

Transmission moves your documents to and from your trading partners as they are. Mapping transforms those documents into the format your own system reads, and back out again, so data flows without re-keying. If you already map your own EDI and just need it moved, that is our EDI VAN (BOLD Transmission and Connectivity). If you want the mapping handled too, that is BOLD Complete.

Can my system connect over an API instead of files?

Yes. If you would rather connect your own application directly than exchange files, we build a direct API integration with you. It runs on the same mapping and the same VAN underneath, is priced the same as BOLD Complete and includes the mapping for each partner. See EDI API Integration for how it works.

Still have questions?

Talk to a US-based EDI expert about mapping your trading partners. No pressure and no obligation, and if you are new to EDI, we will walk you through it.

Keeping product catalog data current is a different job from moving EDI transactions. With BOLD Catalog Network you publish your catalog once so every approved buyer stays current, or, if you are the buyer, subscribe once and get clean, current data from your suppliers.
