Find your fit

Which EDI solution is right for you?

We don't force-fit you into more than you need. Some companies just need their EDI moved; others want it mapped into their systems, run through fulfillment or opened up to partners who don't do EDI. Find your situation below and start with exactly what fits, or tell us about yours and we'll point you to it.

New to EDI? Start with the basics.

Start with what you need to do

I already map my own EDI. I just need it moved reliably.
You need a value-added network to route your documents to every trading partner. BOLD Transmission and Connectivity.
EDI VAN
I want EDI mapped into the systems I already run.
We build and maintain the maps between EDI and your ERP, WMS or other system. BOLD Integration.
Mapping
I'm changing ERPs and don't want to remap my trading partners.
Ask about our ERP migration plan: tell us up front, and you can change systems without remapping a single trading partner or customer. BOLD Integration.
ERP change
I ship to retailers but I do not have an EDI system or a WMS.
A warehouse and shipping system with EDI built in, from order to shipped. BOLD Fulfillment (a WMS Lite with EDI built in).
Fulfillment
Some of my customers or vendors do not do EDI.
Bring them into your EDI flow through a web portal, or let them keep ordering by email the way they do today. BOLD Exchange (web EDI).
Web EDI
I want EDI to flow through a platform's API, like Amazon, Shopify or my ERP.
We build an API integration that connects your EDI to the platform's API. Part of BOLD Integration.
I need to keep my product catalog current across all my buyers.
Publish your catalog once and every approved buyer stays current, and we reach out to your buyers for you. BOLD Catalog Network for vendors.
I buy from suppliers and I'm tired of cleaning up their product data.
Subscribe once to each supplier's catalog and get clean, current data, and we bring your suppliers on board for you. BOLD Catalog Network for retailers.

Common questions

What are the different types of EDI solutions?

Broadly: a value-added network (VAN) that moves your EDI; mapping and integration that translates EDI into your own systems; a fulfillment portal or WMS that runs orders to shipment with EDI built in; web EDI that brings non-EDI partners online; an API integration; and a product-catalog network that keeps product data current. BOLD VAN offers all of these, so you can match the solution to your need instead of forcing one tool to do everything.

Do I need a VAN, a portal or an integration?

It depends on what you already have. If you map your own EDI, you need connectivity (a VAN). If you want EDI inside your ERP, you need integration. If you have no EDI system and ship to retailers, you need a fulfillment portal with EDI built in. The chooser above matches each situation to the right one.

Can I start with one and add more later?

Yes. You keep one relationship with BOLD VAN, so you can start with connectivity or a portal and add mapping, API integration, web EDI or the catalog network as you grow, without switching providers.

How is BOLD VAN priced?

Our EDI services are priced by trading partner. BOLD Catalog Network is priced separately and not per SKU or per transaction. Talk to us for specifics on your situation.
